Black Blizzard

Susumu Yamaji is a young pianist convicted of a murder he doesn’t remember committing. The musician winds up handcuffed to a hardened criminal on the train that will take them to prison. An avalanche derails the train and the criminal takes the opportunity to flee into a raging blizzard. The pianist is forced to go along or else lose his hand. They escape into the mountains to an abandoned ranger station, where they take shelter from the storm and Susumu explains the series of events that brought him to be imprisoned. The drawings are fairly crude, but this is offset by the rapid-fire pace of the story. A cinematic adventure combined with a strange romance and a compelling crime
melodrama.
